Stirring FAITH in your Gifts

John 1:16-17

And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

1 Cor 12:1

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:

1 Cor 12:4

There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

1 Cor 12:7

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: …….

Rom 1:11

For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established

Mark 16:15-18

"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.  17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;  18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

Gal 3:1-7

O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? 2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have you suffered so many things in vain — if indeed it was in vain?

5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? —  6 just as Abraham "believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness."   7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.

Gal 1:6

I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel

Gal 4:9-10

But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage?

Heb 6:1-3

Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2 of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Heb 5:12-6:1

For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Ex 29:10

"You shall also have the bull brought before the tabernacle of meeting, and Aaron and his sonsshall put their hands on the head of the bull.

Ex 29:15  "You shall also take one ram, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the ram   Ex 29:19   "You shall also take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the ram.

Deut 34:9

Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands onhim; so the children of Israel heeded him, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Acts 13:2-3

As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, "Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them." 3 Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.

Mark 6:5-6

Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them.

2 Tim 1:6-7

ThereforeI remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Scriptures for the Week of April 22nd

Rom 1:9-12

For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers, 10 making request if, by some means, now at last I may find a way in the will of God to come to you. 11 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established —  12 that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

Isa 6:6-8                                 one of the seraphim flew to me

Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth with it, and said:

"Behold, this has touched your lips;

Your iniquity is taken away,

And your sin purged."

8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:

"Whom shall I send,

And who will go for Us?"

Then I said,   "Here am I! Send me."

Isa 6:5

"Woe is me, for I am undone!

BecauseI am a man of unclean lips,

AndI dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips

John 1:16-17

And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

2 Cor 12:9

"My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness… For when I am weak, then I am strong.

to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved

1 Cor 15:10                yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Rom 5:20

But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,

 Eph 6:18-20

Stand therefore, ……(with the Armor of God) ..……18 praying alwayswith all prayer and supplicationin the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints —  19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Supplication =   an asking,  a need,  a calling out.   … Always addressed toward God

1 Thess 5:16-18

Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Col 4:2-3

Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving; 3 meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word,

1 Peter 4:7

But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.

Rom 12:12

rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;

2 Cor 5:18-19                         reconciliation       - restoring

Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Scriptures for the Week of April 15th

GRACE, believe it or not.

Eph 2:8-9

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Rom 11:6

And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

John 1:16-17

And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

2 Cor 12:7-10

And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. 8 Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. 9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Eph 1:6                                  accepted in the Beloved

to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved

1 Cor 15:10                yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Rom 5:1-2                  we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Rom 5:15                   by the one man's offense many died

For if by the one man's offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.

Rom 5:17

For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of graceand of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

Rom 5:20

But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,

Rom 6:1-3

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

Rom 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the giftof God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

 Eph 6:14-20

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints —  19and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

16 Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

17 Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.  18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.  19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

 Rom 8:2

For the lawof the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from thelawof sin and death.

Eph 6:10-18

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faithwith which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying alwayswith all prayer and supplication in the Spirit

PRAYERS OF FAITH

PRAY =  shah-ahl      To ask, inquire, demand,  request, pray, desire, wish for

James 5:16 B ……. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

I Jn 5:14-15  Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Isa 1:18  "Come now, and let us reason together,"  Says the Lord,

"Though your sins are like scarlet,  They shall be as white as snow;

Though they are red like crimson,  They shall be as wool.

Isa 55:11  So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;  It shall not return to Me void,

But it shall accomplish what I please,  And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

Jer 1:12     Then the Lord said to me, "You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word."

Isa 43:25-26

"I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins.

John 15:7-8    If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.  8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Mark 11:23-24   For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.   24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Phil 4:17-19

Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.

Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Satan’s Nature

John 8:44

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

1 John 3:8-10

He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

10 In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

1 John 4:4-5

He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Prov 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,

Col 1:9-18

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. Remembering God’s LOVE

Ps 103:13-14

As a father pities his children,

So the Lord pities those who fear Him.

14 For He knows our frame;

He remembers that we are dust.

Rom 5:5

because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

1 Cor 13:4-7                           LOVE DOES THIS…

 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;

6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;

7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

BEARS ALL,       BELIEVES ALL,       HOPES ALL,      ENDURES ALL

Gal 5:22-24

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

 Rom 7:15

For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do

Matt 25:40

'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'

Mark 12:30-31

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment.   31 And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."

Gal 5:13-15

13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

Acts 10:38

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Phil 2:1-8

Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,   - JESUS CARD -  7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Matt 5:44-45

44        "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

45        "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven;

Ps 103:13-14

As a father pities his children,

So the Lord pities those who fear Him.

14 For He knows our frame;

He remembers that we are dust.

2 Cor 12:8-10

Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.

1 Cor 10:12-13

Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. 13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Eph 2:8

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,  not of works, lest anyone should boast.

And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

2 Cor 4:7

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

John 1:16-17

16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Rom 6:14  …  For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
